Errata:
Page 145: "Johnson's victory against Burns"
This should read "Johnson's victory against Jim Jeffries in 1910".

Page 147: "the first twelve rounds of the forty-four-round contest ... unlike the remainder of the thirty-two rounds""
This should read "the first twelve rounds of the contest ... unlike the remainder of the bout," to reflect the fact that sources disagree about whether the fight lasted thirty-three or forty-four rounds. As a consequence, footnote 2 should read as follows:
"The Sporting Magazine and Oxberry  maintain the fight ended after thirty-three rounds and Egan thirty-four. Reports in The Times, Chronicle, et al state forty-four."

Page 221: "Meanwhile, the Fives Court and Richmond's former pub were both pulled down not long after as part of the gradual process of redeveloping the local area to make way for the eventual construction of Trafalgar Square."
Although the Fives Court was pulled down, further research has since revealed that the Horse and Dolphin was not demolished at this point. See here for further details
